Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministries of Finance and Health and Population confirmed that health allocations in the state budget for fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022 exceed the constitutional commitments.
The country increased the health allocations by 6.6% to EGP 275.6 billion in FY21/22 from EGP 258.5 billion in FY20/21, according to a statement by the Cabinet's media centre on Monday.
The government continues its efforts to upgrade all health facilities by modernising the infrastructure of hospitals and medical facilities and establishing new hospitals in a bid to improve medical services provided to citizens.
The health sector has witnessed an unprecedented leap with the launch of the "100 Million Healthy Lives Initiative" which contributed to improving health indicators of the population.
