Egypt's food exports to Senegal hit $9.6m in eight months

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's food exports to Senegal increased by 37% year-on-year (YoY) to $9.6 million in the first eight months of 2021, compared to $7 million, the Executive Director of Food Export Council, May Khairy, was cited by the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

Senegal came in the 48th position among Egypt's top market destinations for food exports during 2020 with a value of $15 million, Khairy said in a seminar.

 Aromatics topped food exports to Senegal with a value of $5.2 million, followed by barley beverages with $2.7 million, biscuits and grain-based foods with $1.7 million, and pasta with $1.4 million.
