Egypt Today: Egypt’s food exports recorded a significant rise in the first eight months of 2025, reaching $4.23 billion, up from $3.555 billion in the same period of 2024, an increase of $675.182 million, according to CAPMAS data.
This overall growth was fueled by substantial gains across several key product segments.
The most notable jump came from beverage preparation compounds, whose exports soared to $356.351 million, compared with only $1.3 million a year earlier, an exceptional increase of $355.051 million.
Exports of chocolate and other food preparations also strengthened, rising to $136.917 million, up from $92.786 million in 2024, marking a gain of $44.131 million.
Additionally, uncooked pasta made from non-baked flour registered improved performance, with exports reaching $82.543 million, compared with $69.569 million in the corresponding period of last year, an increase of $12.974 million.
