Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt's food exports edged up by 0.50% or $17 million during the first ten months (10M) of 2022, Akbar El-Yom reported.
Food exports of the Arab world’s most populous nation reached $3.49 billion in 10M-22, compared to $3.47 billion in 10M-21.
In September 2022, food exports dipped by 7% on an annual basis to stand at $333 million, while in October 2022, they totalled $306 million, unchanged from the year-ago month.
During the January-October period of 2022, Egypt's food exports to Arab countries represented 50% of total exports with $1.74 billion, followed by the European Union (EU) with $697 million or 20% of total exports and the US with $232 million or 7% of the total value.
In the meantime, the food exports to non-Arab African countries amounted to $243 million, accounting for 7% of the total exports.
