Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s external debt rose to $96.6 billion at the end of 2018, compared to $82.8 billion in 2017, data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) showed.
The state’s foreign debt increased by $13.8 billion or 16.5% year-on-year in 2018, the state-run Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported, citing the CBE.
The CBE had settled over $36 billion debts and external liabilities in the past three years.
