Egypt’s exports rise 23.3% in 10M-22

Cairo - Mubasher: Exports of Egypt registered $42.80 billion during the first 10 months (10M) of 2022, compared to $34.70 billion in the year-ago period.

This represents a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 23.30% or $8.10 billion, Akhbar El-Yom cited the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

Spain topped the list of top 10 countries exporting from the Arab world's most populous nation during the January-October 2022 period, with imports coming in at $3.10 billion, followed by Türkiye, Italy, and the US with $3.10 billion, $2.80 billion, and $2 billion, respectively.

Egypt's liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports ranked first in the country's top 10 export list during 10M-22 with $7.90 billion, followed by fertilisers and crude petroleum with $2.70 billion and $2.60 billion, respectively. 

It is worth noting that Egypt’s imports during 10M-22 reached $80.70 billion, a hike of 11.10% or $8.10 billion when compared to $72.60 billion in the prior-year period.
