Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s exports of medical industries hiked by 49% year-on-year (YoY) to $176 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, compared to $118 million, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Sunday.
Exports of medical industries increased to $59 million in January from $32 million in the same month in 2020 and rose to $59 million in February from $44 million in February 2020.
In March, exports of medical industries grew to $56 million from $42 million.
The country exported medicines worth $17 million in January, $15 million in February, and $23 million in March.
In addition, exports of cosmetics reached $37 million, $38 million, and $25 million in January, February, and March, respectively.
Moreover, the country exported medical supplies worth $5 million in January, $7 million in February, and $9 million in March.
