Egypt’s exports hike to $32.57bn in 11M-22

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s exports increased by 11% annually during the first eleven months (11M) of the year, Akhbar El-Yom cited Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry, Ahmed Samir, on Thursday.

Exports of the Arab world’s most populous nation reached $32.57 billion in January-November 2022, up $3.17 billion when compared to $29.40 million in January-November 2021.

By the end of 2022, the exports are expected to total $35 billion.

The minister said these positive indicators reflect the ability of Egyptian exporting sectors to deal with the ongoing global, economic challenges resulting from the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the coming period, the ministry plans to raise the export volume to different international and regional markets and achieve maximum benefit from the preferential free trade agreements network that was signed with a large number of key economic blocs and countries within the framework of Egypt’s goal to increase its exports to $100 billion annually.
