Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s domestic liquidity rose slightly at the end of January to EGP 3.64 trillion, versus EGP 3.62 trillion in December 2018.
Year-on-year, domestic liquidity increased 12%, versus EGP 3.25 trillion in January 2018, data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) showed on Sunday.
Foreign reserves of the most populous Arab state grew to $42.61 billion last January, according to the CBE.
The CBE previously stated that Egypt’s foreign reserves fell by $1.962 billion, or 4.4% month-on-month, in December to $42.55 billion.
