Egypt's core inflation slumps to 7.94% in November – CBE

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation eased to 7.94% month-on-month in November from 8.86%.

The monthly core inflation recorded 0.5% last month, versus 1% in October, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said in a recent statement.

It is worth noting that the core inflation does not include commodities such as fruits and vegetables due to their current fluctuated prices.

On Monday, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced that Egypt’s annual inflation declined to 15.6% year-on-year in November from 26.7%.
