Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s exports of chemicals and fertilisers increased by 27% year-on-year (YoY) during the first ten months (10M) of the year to reach $7.11 billion, compared to $5.58 billion, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.
Exports of the chemical and fertiliser sector account for 23% of Egypt’s total non-petroleum exports. From January-October 2022, the number of the sector’s exporting companies rose by 4% to 22,347 firms.
Egypt's exports of chemical industries to the top 10 markets grew by 54% in 10M-22. These markets include Italy, France, England, Spain, Belgium, Brazil, Morocco, the Netherlands, and India.
Moreover, the country’s exports of fertilisers amounted to $2.67 billion during 10M-22, up 46% when compared to $1.83 billion.
