Cairo-Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will auction EGP 8.25 billion in treasury bills on Sunday.
The EGP 8.25 billion will be offered through two auctions: a 91-day auction at a value of EGP 3.5 billion and a 273-day auction at a value EGP 4.75 billion.
The country’s budget deficit widened to EGP177 billion, or 5.9% of the gross domestic period (GDP) within the first half of 2015/16, compared to EGP132 billion or 6.7% of GDP for the year-ago period.
