Egypt’s bourse opens on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened on mixed note on Tuesday, as the benchmark index EGX30 eased 0.21% or 17.1 points to 8,253.6 points.

The small and medium caps index EGX70 went up 0.85% to 360.6 points, while the broader index EGX100 added 0.35% to 821.08 points.

The equal weighted index EGX50 inched down 0.03% to 1,386.8 points.

The stocks of CIB, largest constitute of EGX30, edged down 0.26% to EGP 49.4 with trading value of EGP 1.1 million.

Tuesday’s early trade witnessed 2.5 million shares changed hands worth EGP 8.26 million.
