Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that banks will be closed on Thursday, 27 January, on the occasion of the 25th January Revolution and National Police Day holiday.
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) will also be closed on Thursday, the state-owned Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.
Egypt-based banks and the stock market will resume work on Sunday, 30 January.
Earlier this week, Egypt’s Cabinet announced Thursday to be an official holiday instead of Tuesday, 25 January.
