Egypt's banks, EGX off next Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that banks will be closed on Thursday, 12 August, on the occasion of the Hijri New Year (Islamic New Year) 1443.

Banks will be reopened on Sunday, 15 August, the CBE said in a statement on Sunday. 

In addition, trading on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) will be halted next Thursday to be resumed again on Sunday, 15 August, the EGX said in a separate statement.
