Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation rate accelerated to 3.3% in September, compared to 0.8% a month earlier, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Sunday.
The consumer price index (CPI) recorded 0.1% last September, compared to a negative 2.3% in September 2019 and a negative 0.2% in August 2020.
On Saturday, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the country’s annual headline urban inflation rate registered 3.7% in September from 3.4% in August.
