Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation announced that the country’s agricultural exports have reached 3.5 million tonnes year-to-date (YTD) despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
The North African nation’s agricultural products are attracting growing demand from countries all over the world, according to a statement on Thursday.
From January to April, agricultural exports exceeded 2.4 million tonnes.
Citrus fruits came in top of Egypt’s agricultural exports with 1.2 million tonnes, followed by potato, onion, and strawberries with 500,000 tonnes, 150,000 tonnes, and 20,000 tonnes, respectively.
