Cairo – Mubasher: Elaraby Group has opened a new cooking appliance manufacturing complex in Qalyub City.
The industrial complex was inaugurated by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea, Governor of Qalybia Abdel Hamid El-Haggan, and Vice Chairman of Elaraby Group Mamdouh El-Araby, according to a Cabinet statement on Tuesday.
Established over 27,000 square metres (sqm), the new complex creates about 2,000 jobs and includes two factories.
One factory has the capacity to manufacture 500,000 La Germania cookers per year with a 70% local component.
The group has about 40,000 employees working in administrative and technical sectors at four industrial complexes, namely the 100,000-sqm Benha complex, the 400,000-sqm Quweisna complex, the 68,000-sqm Beni Suef complex, and the 27,000-sqm Qalyub complex, El-Araby said.
