Cairo – Mubasher: OneOrder, an Egyptian logistics company solving restaurants’ supply chain inefficiencies, announced fundraising worth $1 million, according to a press release on Wednesday.
MENA Venture Capital firm A15 has led the funding transaction which proceeds will be used in setting up a platform to address structural challenges facing Egyptian restaurants when sourcing supplies.
The inefficiencies, as seen by OneOrder, include “interacting on a regular basis with a number of small, fragmented suppliers and vendors from whom they source their meat, vegetables, and equipment.”
The platform will facilitate for Egyptian restaurants to purchase all their needs from one application, with reliable quality, prices, and timing.
Founder and CEO of OneOrder, Tamer Amer, said: “We believe restaurants should be focused on delivering a high-quality experience and service to their customers without having to worry about sourcing and procurement. We are the platform to deliver that.”
Amer added: “Egypt and the wider region are booming economically, and the food & beverage sector is only growing larger.”
