Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has invested EGP 11 billion in providing digital government services, enhancing e-services, and developing digital infrastructure across universities.
The ministry has developed information infrastructures across 15 national universities and nine technological universities at a total value of EGP 4.5 billion, alongside 10 public technical institutes with a total value of EGP 34 million, according to a report published by the ministry.
Meanwhile, the e-exam system was applied to 84 faculties across 24 universities as part of the first phase valued at EGP 1.1 billion, while the system is being implemented in 420 faculties in the second phase worth EGP 3.33 billion.
In cooperation with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), the learning management systems (LMS) started to be operated in 2022 with a total investment of EGP 385 million.
These achievements come alongside the agreements signed by the Ministry of Higher Education with international companies in the field of technology, including Huawei to establish 75 academies and 10 laboratories in the Egyptian universities.
