Egypt’s Ministry of Finance approves budget final account for FY15/16

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Finance (MOF) approved the state's general budget final account for the fiscal year 2015/2016, said Finance Minister, Amr Al Garhy.

The MOF will pass the budget to the cabinet in order to tackle and approve it and then present it to the parliament.

The general budget revealed an increase of 5.6% in public revenues as it reached EGP 491.5 billion up from EGP 465.2 billion a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the country’s general budget deficit amounted to EGP 233.5 billion accounting for 12.2% of the gross domestic product.
