Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) is cooperating with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to covert 150,000 cars to run on natural gas over the coming three years in coordination with Car Gas and the Egyptian International Gas Technology Company (Gastec).
MSMEDA offers citizens the opportunity to pay for the conversion in installments, the Head of MSMEDA and Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, said in a statement on Monday.
Operation on natural gas helps car owners cut operating expenses, Gamea noted.
MSMEDA has already financed the conversion of 45,678 cars to operate on natural gas with a value of EGP 242 million.
