Egypt’s MSME Development Agency gives EGP 5.42bn loans in FY18/19

Cairo – Mubasher: The value of finance provided to small and micro enterprises by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSME) reached EGP 5.416 billion during the fiscal year 2018/2019, Egypt’s assistant minister of planning Gamil Helmy said.

The development of MSME is one of the government current goals for the support of Egypt’s economic growth, Helmy commented.

Egypt Vision 2030 stresses the significance of the reformation of planning and follow-up systems through the implementation of programmes and performance methodology, he added.

It is worth noting that the Social Fund For Development has provided EGP 25.9 million loans that created 3,300 jobs.
