Cairo – Mubasher: The General Petroleum Company (GPC) revealed plans for drilling five exploratory wells and 13 development ones during the fiscal year 2018/2019.
The Egyptian oil firm will also complete and fix 27 other wells in the country during the year, the company’s chairman revealed.
GPC is working as part of a joint project with Scimitar Egypt Production, Kuwait Energy and Dublin International Petroleum among others, Mohsen El Nobi, GPC’s chairman, added.
The programme includes drilling 21 exploratory and development wells, and repairing 24 others, according to a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum.
GPC’s planned production for FY18/19 should reach around 64,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, including crude oil, natural gas, and condensates.
