Egypt's El-Sisi re-appoints Omran as FRA's Chairman

Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued decree no. 332 of 2021, approving the re-appointment of Mohamed Moustafa Abdel Gawad Omran as the Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) for a one-year term, according to a statement on Sunday. 

In August 2017, Omran was named the Chairman of the FRA after acting as the Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) from 21 September 2011 to 6 August 2017. 

Moreover, another presidential decree has been issued for extending the appointment of Osama Rabie as the Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) for one year. 

In August 2019, El-Sisi appointed Rabie as the Chairman of the SCA, succeeding Mohab Mamish.
