Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, revealed that the first and second phases of the construction works of El-Salam/New Administrative Capital/10th of Ramadan light rail transit (LRT) have reached a completion rate of about 70%.
The LRT project will extend for 90 kilometres (km) covering 16 stations, including El-Obour, El-Mostakbal, El-Shorouk, New Heliopolis, Badr, the industrial zone, 10th of Ramadan City, and the New Administrative Capital, El-Wazir said in a statement on Wednesday.
The project is being implemented over three phases with the first and second phases expected to be inaugurated in October 2021, he added.
