Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Cabinet has approved the EUR 221 million agreement between the Ministry of International Cooperation and the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance the upgrade of the Tanta–El-Mansoura–Damietta railroad.
The project includes modernising the railroad's signaling and communications systems and purchasing railway maintenance machines, according to a statement on Wednesday.
In the meantime, the Cabinet has agreed on the EUR 78 million financing agreement between Egypt and EIB for sewage treatment in Helwan.
