Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s daily output of natural gas has reached 6.2 billion cubic feet, landing the 13th position globally and the fifth in the MENA region, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, said on Monday, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA).
Egypt delivered natural gas to 11 million households, of which 45% were in the last six years and the remaining 55% was in 34 years, El-Molla revealed.
Over the last six years, the country signed 86 petroleum deals and attracted new international companies to invest in the oil and gas exploration and development sectors.
In addition, Egypt’s daily petroleum output reached about 1.9 million barrels of oil equivalent.
