Egypt produces 5m doses of COVID-19 vaccine

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has produced 5 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 2.5 million will be supplied this week, Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed said. 

A total of 2 million doses will be supplied each week as a new production line has been added at Giza's vaccine facility which will start operations in November with a capacity of 300,000 doses per day, Zayed added in a statement on Wednesday. 

So far, about 13 million citizens have been vaccinated as the country accelerated the vaccination process.
