Egypt postpones increase in electricity prices for 6M

Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt has postponed the increase in electricity prices for a period of six months (6M), in the implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt's Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, announced.

Madbouly said during a press conference that the government will bear costs of up to EGP 10 billion as a result of postponing the decision until the end of 2022.
