Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government is planning to build logistics zones in various governorates in a bid to lower the prices of goods, First Assistant of the Minister of Supply and Chairman of the Egyptian Commodities Exchange (EGYCOMEX), Ibrahim Ashmawy, said.
He added that the planned gold city will be established over an area of 120 feddans in the New Administrative Capital with investments of more than EGP 20 billion, Ashmawy added in a TV interview on Saturday.
He noted that the project will rely on the private sector for financing and partnership.
On a side note, Ashmawy revealed that the pilot phase of the EGYCOMEX will be launched by mid-April, noting that wheat will be the first commodity to be traded on the exchange.
