Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, announced that the total cost of the under-development Dirut Nile axis in the Governorate of Assiut is estimated at EGP 1.7 billion.
The 42-kilometre axis, which includes 10 bridges and two tunnels, has been 81.7% complete, El-Wazir said in a statement on Sunday.
On the sidelines of his visit to the under-construction axis, he revealed that the country is planning to establish 14 axes in Upper Egypt at a combined cost of EGP 18.5 billion.
