Egypt pays out EGP 57m in aid to tourism workers

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Labour Emergency Fund is currently paying out the first tranche of the emergency aid to employees in the tourism sector which was hardly hit by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, minister of manpower Mohamed Saafan said.

A total EGP 57.2 million is being disbursed to about 48,900 workers in 205 establishments, Saafan added in a statement on Monday.

In addition, a total of 3,800 establishments applied for the labour aid.
