Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is issuing treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 17.5 billion over two offerings on 12 December, according to official data.
The first auction stands at EGP 3.5 billion in value and holds a 91-day maturity period until 15 March 2022.
The CBE indicated that the second issue amounts to EGP 14 billion, carrying a tenor of 273 days until 13 September 2022.
It is worth noting that Egypt’s last T-bills issues were on 9 December, when the CBE offered EGP 18 billion worth of notes.
