Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has auctioned, on 2 January 2022, treasury bills (T-bills) worth EGP 11 billion over two tranches, according to official data.
The first issue totals EGP 2.5 billion and holds a 91-days maturity until 5 April this year.
The second offering stands at EGP 8.5 billion and carries a 273-days tenor until 4 October.
The CBE’s last T-bills auctions were on 30 December 2021, when a total of EGP 19 billion notes were offered.
