Egypt nears completion of 1st tower in new capital’s business district

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has completed the concrete structure works of the first tower out of total 20 towers being established at the New Administrative Capital’s $3 billion central business district (CBD).

The 80-metre C03 tower includes two-level basement, a ground floor, and 15 stories with a total building area of 79,000 square metres, the housing minister Assem El-Gazzar said in a statement on Monday.

The CBD project comprises 20 towers, including the 400-metre-high iconic tower, set to be the tallest tower in Africa, the deputy minister of housing Khaled Abbas revealed.

The new project is being developed in collaboration between the housing ministry’s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), Abbas noted.
