Cairo – Mubasher: The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) is currently reviewing ministerial decrees related to 82 projects spreading across new cities in Egypt to put them into effect at the soonest, assistant housing minister at NUCA, Walid Abbas, told Mubasher on Wednesday.
Abbas further said the new projects span a total area of 3,647 feddans. NUCA, moreover, has received 2,174 requests to obtain lands spanning 16,860 feddans in new cities under the direct-order allocation mechanism.
In this regard, Abbas revealed that NUCA has already studied 1,200 requests related to the allocation of lands that span 10,930 feddans, adding that 663 companies have already paid the 10% down payment.
