Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will launch the pilot operation of its new unified tax platform for large and medium-sized companies and high-income self-employed taxpayers starting from 1 January, the Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, said.
The remaining taxpayers will join the new system over four phases, Maait added in a statement on Tuesday.
This move will help facilitate tax collection and monitoring procedures in a step towards digital transformation.
