Egypt launches construction of new administrative capital

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Housing Minister, Mostafa Madbouli, announced Saturday that four construction companies started the execution of the infrastructure of the new administrative capital project.

Earlier in May 2015, Mazen Hassan, vice president of New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) Affairs Sector, said that the cost of connecting external facilities to the capital reaches about EGP 5 billion.

The four company mandated to execute the first phase of the project are The Arab Contractors, The Holding company for Construction and Development, Concord Engineering and Contracting and Orascom-Hassan Allam alliance.

The cost of the new administrative capital project is estimated at $45 billion.
