Egypt invests EGP 438m to upgrade Gharbiya’s electricity network

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has invested EGP 438 million to raise the efficiency of the electricity network of western Gharbiya during fiscal year 2019/2020.

The governorate, which is served by South Delta Electricity Distribution Company, has witnessed several expansion and replacement works of its electricity network, according to a statement on Wednesday.

The works included the addition of 3,437 kilometres of medium- and low-voltage underground cables and overhead power lines.
