Cairo – Mubasher: The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has invested EGP 140 million in replacement and expansion of electricity networks in 10th of Ramadan City, Badr City, and El-Shorouk City from July 2014 until 2021.
These networks serve about 300,000 people in the three new cities and their neighbouring areas, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The replacement, expansion, and renovation work includes 10 transformers, 2,020 average-voltage overhead power poles, 100 kilometres (km) of medium-voltage underground cables, and 20 km of low-voltage underground cables.
