Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt has invested EGP 12.4 billion in the fourth-generation cities in Upper Egypt from 2014 to 2021, the Egyptian Minister of Housing, Assem El-Gazzar, announced.
These investments have implemented 24,798 housing units with a total value of EGP 7.3 billion and 68 projects worth EGP 1.2 billion in the services sector, according to a statement on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, EGP 2.04 billion was allocated for the utilities sector and EGP 1.86 billion for the roads sector.
El-Gazzar further remarked that the country has also invested EGP 23.72 billion in eight new cities in Upper Egypt, including New Minya and New Assiut, since 2014.
