Egypt inks EGP 840m deal to build electricity control centre in new capital

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) signed an agreement with a consortium comprised of Siemens AG, Siemens Egypt, and Hassan Allam to construct an electricity control centre in the New Administrative Capital.

The investment cost of the project, which amounts to EGP 840 million, will be financed from the EETC’s own resources, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Resources on Tuesday.

The project will be implemented on a turnkey basis over a 24-month period starting from the date of signing the deal.
