Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt’s wheat strategic reserves is sufficient for 2.6 months, the Egyptian minister of supply Ali Moselhy told Reuters on Monday.
The minister said in March that the strategic reserves reached more than 3 million tonnes.
Egypt targets increasing wheat production from 8 million to 10 million tonnes within the next three years.
Egypt is the biggest wheat importer in the world, with around 15 million tonnes every year, according to official statistics.
