Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting with Minister of Agriculture El-Sayed El-Kosair and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mostafa El-Sayyad to follow up on the projects implemented in the livestock sector.
The board of directors of the National Project for Veal Revival has approved a new allocation of EGP 417 million for 2,913 young breeders to buy and feed more than 27,000 cattle, El-Kosair said in a statement on Tuesday.
This brings the total value of funding allocated to the veal project to EGP 4.5 billion since the launch of the project in 2017.
The funding was directed to 27,854 breeders to help them buy and feed 304,117 cattle, he added.
The project contributed to the provision of more than 50,000 tonnes of red meat.
