Egypt extends deadline for submitting property tax returns until March-end

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, approved the extension of the deadline for submitting real estate tax returns until the end of March 2021.

The decision gives citizens more time to file their tax returns and avoid crowding at property tax offices in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Maait said in a statement on Tuesday.

Owners of properties built from July to December were originally required to submit their property tax returns before the end of December.
