Egypt Today: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has ratified Presidential Decree No. 497 of 2025, officially creating the Gargoub Special Economic Zone.
The decision, which had earlier received Cabinet approval on June 18, was issued under the framework of Law No. 83 of 2002 on Special Economic Zones.
Located on Egypt’s northwestern coast, the new zone will span nearly 402,200 feddans, positioning Gargoub as one of the country’s largest strategic development areas.
