Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of transportation Hesham Arafat has discussed with Salini Impregilo a proposal to establish the fifth line of Cairo Metro.
The 24 kilometer- line will link Nasr City, Heliopolis, Al Sawah, and Road Al Farag areas, according to the minister.
The Italian company has presented its portfolio of previous works in the railway and subway field, expressing its readiness to conduct the necessary studies and provide the needed finances.
Other companies are also proposing plans to develop the metro newest line, which the ministry will soon announce, Arafat added in a statement on Sunday.
