Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s tax revenues grew 5% or EGP 1.79 billion in July and August 2016, according to Ministry of Finance’s monthly bulletin.
The country’s tax revenues amounted to EGP 37.9 billion in July and August 2016, compared with EGP 36.1 billion for the same period of the previous year.
Egypt’s state budget targets tax proceeds amounts to EGP 433.3 billion in the fiscal year 2016/17.
Egypt expects to witness an increase of EGP 30 billion in its tax proceeds after the implementation of the added value tax law.
