Egypt builds EGP 3.8bn developmental projects in Menofia in two years

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Planning issued a report outlining the developmental projects established in Menofia Governorate in fiscal years (FY) 2018/2019 and 2019/2020.

The country completed the establishment of 433 developmental projects in education, housing, transportation, irrigation, electricity, and local development sectors at combined investments of EGP 3.8 billion, the Minister of Planning, Hala El-Saeed, said in a statement on Sunday.

A total of three projects in the irrigation and water resources sector were built at a cost of EGP 21.6 million.

In addition, 65 education projects were built at a cost of EGP 438 million and 39 drinking water and sewage projects were established at a cost of EGP 2.6 billion.

The country also established nine electricity and renewable energy projects at a cost of EGP 49.2 million.

As part of the local development programmes, the governorate witnessed the completion of 78 electricity and lighting projects at a cost of EGP 30 million and 60 bridge, tunnel, and road pavement projects at a cost of EGP 98 million.
